Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are a mere three weeks from release and the hype train is going full steam ahead. Nintendo has been kind enough to drip-feed some details to patient fans ahead of its release, including showing off the new environments and starters.
One mechanic which is seeing its debut with the ninth generation of Pokémon is the “Legendary Ride” mechanic, a mechanic whereby your mount the mascot legendary Pokémon of Scarlet and Violet (Koraidon and Miraidon, respectively) and use them as your advanced mode of transportation. These modes of transportation include a bicycle mode, a rock-climbing mode, a swimming mode, and a gliding mode.

With this preview of what is to come in terms of mounts in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, we also catch an extra glimpse as to what the Paldea region will be like, and it is cool to see verticality being brought into the world/level design.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are set to release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on November 18, 2022.
