After the announcement of Joker as a DLC character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at last years Game Awards, I was pretty sure that it was likely to happen again this year, especially as it’s been a while since one was announced – Steve from Minecraft was back at the beginning on October. Nintendo has put us out of our misery by tweeting last night that a DLC character will be announced during the awards ceremony, but who it is going to be is of course under wraps. There are four more slots to go and this next character will mark the half way point through DLC Fighters Pass 2. What do you want to bet that Reggie will be on stage when this announcement happens huh?

There are plenty of options for who the next character could be, I think a really unique option would be Amaterasu from Okami, but we will see. Let us know who you want it to be! Check out our coverage of the Game Awards later today for all the details and announcements.
