Say what you will about the Wii U, but any analyst will tell you that it’s been a painful journey for the little guy. Poor sales figures even when great games are released for the system, little to no third-party support, the now-dominant competition in the console market, I could go on. Hence, it surprised nobody when information began to seep onto the Internet about a new system from Nintendo. Known only as the NX, we don’t know a whole lot about it. It’s shrouded in more mystery than a tight Cluedo game, but as Nintendo’s new president has confirmed we can expect that to change. What we didn’t expect, however, is that it may be arriving sooner than we think.
Youtuber SuperMetalDave64, who has a solid track record when it comes to rumours, has revealed from a “trusted source at Nintendo” that the NX will launch this year alongside a Legend of Zelda game. Other information was revealed, which can be seen in the previously linked video or in text form here. However, even with this guy’s good record with information, we certainly can’t deny the possibility that this is simply somebody expertly trolling the guy or that the source’s information was current.
