Competition in the Overwatch League is set to get even hotter with the opening of its first player signing window.
All 12 Overwatch League teams are now able to sign free agent players and will be able to make trades with other teams beginning 12 February 2018 AEDT/NZDT. This transfer window will close on 3 April, just before the start of Stage 3.
Teams can add any player not currently signed to an Overwatch League player contract – including Contenders, Academy and Open Division players. Players must be 18 years old by 6 April and meet US visa requirements to be eligible for Season 1 play.
The earliest any new player will be eligible to compete in the Overwatch League is 22 February. All potential signings are subject to approval by the Overwatch League office.
Teams may not exceed the roster limit of 12 players at any time.
