Project Q Is PlayStation’s New Handheld Gaming Device (Kinda)

PlayStation 5 U

Announced at today’s PlayStation Showcase event, Project Q (working title) is Sony’s new handheld gaming device that will allow players to stream games from their PlayStation 5 consoles to a tablet with a DualSense slapped on either side. As far as we can tell this is a fully remote play device, meaning you won’t be able to run any games from it directly – kinda like a flashy new Wii U? It’s not a terrible concept but much remains to be seen about its value for households and players. You can check out the trailer for it below.

What do you think of Project Q? Be sure to let us know in the comments below and on social media.

One part pretentious academic and one part goofy dickhead, James is often found defending strange games and frowning at the popular ones, but he's happy to play just about everything in between. An unbridled love for FromSoftware's pantheon, a keen eye for vibes first experiences, and an insistence on the Oxford comma have marked his time in the industry.
