Resident Evil 4 Remake Has Been Confirmed For PS4 But Xbox One Misses Out

What’re ya playing on, stranger?

During its Tokyo Game Show announcements, Capcom revealed that its highly-anticipated remake of Resident Evil 4 will also launch on the PS4 alongside PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Unfortunately for Xbox One owners, it looks like the title won’t be hitting the console as Capcom made no reference to it in the announcement, which doesn’t come as a huge surprise if I’m being honest. Even PS4 support is somewhat surprising given it was only officially announced in June during a State of Play after years of rumours. Nevertheless, it’s a good thing that more people will be able to experience Capcom’s reimagining of the acclaimed title.

Capcom also revealed that Resident Evil will be getting its own showcase in October where we’ll learn more about RE4, although no exact date was provided. Given the timing, it’s likely we’ll see the upcoming Winters’ Expansion for Resident Evil Village, as well as RE:Verse.

The Resident Evil 4 remake will release on March 24, 2023, on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
