Koshi Nakanishi, director of Resident Evil Requiem, has announced that a story expansion is in development, and that photo mode and a mini game are coming to the game soon.
Nakanishi-san shared the news via a video posted on social media, where he started by thanking players and celebrating more than five million copies sold since launch. He then went on to share that photo mode and a mini game will be added to the game in May, before revealing that a story expansion set in the world of Requiem is in development.

This news lines up with recent rumours from known Resident Evil insider Dusk Golem, who claimed that story DLC was in the works. Dusk Golem further claims that the DLC will feature Leon, although time will tell whether that is the case.
Resident Evil Requiem has been a huge hit for Capcom, critically and commercially. I scored the game a 9.5 in my review, writing that “Resident Evil Requiem is an intoxicating mix of the series’ DNA, blending exhilarating action and palpable horror to make not only one of the best Resident Evil games, but one of the best modern survival horror experiences,” so I am excited that Capcom is going to squeeze more juice out of the game.
