SAW’s Shawnee Smith Joins The Cast Of The Tormentor As Kickstarter Launch Nears

This calls for a bloody mary

Agony developer Madmind Studios has announced that SAW actress Shawnee Smith has joined the cast of its upcoming horror game The Tormentor, with the game’s Kickstarter campaign launching in April.

Smith, who played Amanda Young in SAW 1-3 and SAW X, will voice Bloody Mary, a character described as “a walking executioner, a maestro of pain, a merciless butcher who revels in human misery.”

Madmind Studio CEO Tomasz Dutkiewicz says Tormentor is the studio’s “personal love letter to true fans of horror and the macabre.”

In Tormentor players take on the role of a merciless executioner, one that thrives and profits on the torture of his prisoners – all who have been sentenced to death. But you’re not committing these violent attacks for your own pleasure, with your bloodshed streamed to the masses, and the better and more brutal the kills, the bigger the audience and better the rewards. It’s not just the thrill of the kill that motivates you though, with a crippling mental illness taking hold of you and the only panacea – an experimental drug – controlled by a criminal group. It’s certainly not a game for the faint-hearted.
