Silent Hill 2 Remake Has Officially Been Announced As A PS5 Console Exclusive

Welcome back James

Well, Konami finally bloody did it, announcing the Silent Hill 2 Remake during this morning’s Transmission stream. The game will be released exclusively on PS5 and PC.

Wasting no time, the Transmission opened with the announcement trailer for the long-awaited remake. Developed by Bloober Team, the devs behind Blair Witch, Layers of Fear and The Medium, the game will take us back to the titular town as protagonist James Sunderland searches for his thought-to-be dead wife. During a short portion of the Transmission, Bloober Team explained that they hope to modernise the classic horror game by introducing new elements, like an over-the-shoulder camera, while ensuring that the look and feel of the original game stay intact.
