Ubisoft has announced that the multiplayer pirate game Skull and Bones has been delayed and will now release on March 9, 2023.
The statement posted to the game’s Twitter account claims that feedback gathered from preview events and technical tests has led to the decision, providing the team more time to “ensure you all get the best experience we can offer.”
Skull and Bones has had a turbulent history, with this being the latest in a long line of delays that stretch back to the game’s original reveal at E3 2017. If this release date sticks, it will be in players’ hands almost a full six years after the initial reveal.
