Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Multiplayer Mode Release Date Announced

SGW fans are happy campers tonight

Earlier tonight, Polish developer CI Games announced the release date for the long-awaited multiplayer modes for Sniper Ghost Warrior 3. The multiplayer will be available from January 26, 2018, and will be a free update for all SGW3 owners.

In a blog post on the game’s official website, CI Games revealed what content will be available when the multiplayer launches in January next year.

Here’s what the multiplayer update will bring:

  • Three game modes:
    – Bounty hunter, which will test your survival and risk managing skills, more risk = more reward!
    – Sharpshooter, which will require high reflexes!
    – Classic Team Deathmatch, all in!
  • 4 maps, each one is set in a unique environment and they vary in size
  • 2 additional exclusive maps included in the Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 Season Pass for a total of 6 maps
  • Over 10 weapons that will give you unique possibilities
  • Over 10 gadgets to help you in your quest for victory
  • Over 15 different characters to choose from with various outfits for different environments

We spoke exclusively to CI Games about the game’s multiplayer modes and what you can expect from them. You can read that information here.

SGW3 released on April 25 this year without its multiplayer mode as CI Games wanted to focus all its energies on making the single-player campaign the best that it could be. The game received a mixed reception due to a number of issues. CI Games spoke to DYEGB back in October about the challenges the team faced during development.

As a fan of the SGW series, I am looking forward to trying out the game’s multiplayer component when it launches next year.
