Stardew Valley Has Been Immortalised As A Board Game

Farm up a good time on your table top

Yes, read that headline correctly –  developer Concerned Ape dropped the bombshell this morning that its immensely popular indie farming sim Stardew Valley has been quietly made into a board game over the last two years, and the best part is that you can order it right now! Stardew Valley: The Board Game aims to adapt aspects of the gameplay such as foraging, farming, mining and romance into a customisable form.

The game can be played by one-to-four players and tasks them to finish ‘Grandpa’s Goals’ and the Community Centre bundles that fans may recall from the game. The board game reportedly has plenty of depth and complexity but Concerned Ape states that ‘It is easy to play once you understand the rules but it’s not a short, casual game’.

blog post on the Stardew Valley website contains all of the details on the board game in addition to a short trailer. The game is purchasable here, but sadly only in the US for now. International options are being investigated though, and there’s a newsletter you can sign up to for updates.

If board games aren’t your style, the 1.5 content update for Stardew Valley is out now on PC and consoles!
