Developer Offworld Industries has announced Starship Troopers: Extermination, a new squad-based PvE shooter set in the Starship Troopers universe.
A 12-player online multiplayer title, Extermination will have players strapping on the boots of a Deep Space Vanguard soldier as they fight against the Arachnids, an extremely hostile race of alien bugs, on the planet Valaka. In a co-op experience, 12 players choose from Assault, Support or Defense classes and will form four separate squads, build defences, and use a variety of weaponry to fight the bugs.
As time goes on, the infestation will grow, and you’ll encounter bug types like Drones, Warriors, Gunners, Plasma Grenadiers, and Tiger Elites. The map will feature five unique zones providing battlefields for hundreds of bugs to swarm you and your squadmates. While mowing down the bad bugs, you’ll complete objectives such as destroying hives and retaking refineries to push the round further.
