Surprise Nintendo Direct Mini – Xenoblade, Bioshock, Borderlands And More Are Switch Bound

So out of bloody nowhere, Nintendo drops a surprise Nintendo Direct Mini; thirty minutes of update goodness! The Direct is prefaced by a statement saying all shown release dates are subject to change due to the COVID-19. Here is a recap of all the presentation.

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition, the ultimate edition of a classic is set to release on May 29 and it contains a new epilogue called Future Connected. There is also a physical special edition with a 250-page art book.

2K is bringing a bunch of its franchises to the Nintendo Switch including the BioShock Collection, Borderlands Legendary Collection and XCOM 2 Collection, all on May 29.

Shinsekai: Into the Depths, the deep-sea exploration game is Switch bound today!

Zipper T. Bunny will be showing up in Animal Crossing: New Horizons in early April (1-12) for Bunny Day. Another free update will be available later in April themed around Earth Day and Leif will be returning for that event.

Good Job! a crazy action-puzzle game by Nintendo launches today!

Ring Fit Adventure will be receiving a free update with a new rhythm game mode. A female voice option and language choices are being added. This free update is available today.

King’s Bounty II a sequel to a much loved tactical RPG classic is releasing on Switch in 2020.

The next Super Smash Bros Ultimate DLC fighter will be from Arms! It will take a bit more time and is coming in June.

Bravely Default II looks beautiful as we get our first proper look at the game. The game focuses on four new heroes, including one with a Scottish accent. The continent of Excillant is home to five countries and it is where we meet Seth, who washes up on a beach and meets a princess called Gloria as well as two travellers (Elvis and Adelle). The gameplay systems are inline with past games, including Braving, Defaulting and job Asterisks.  A demo version of the game is launching today with a feedback survey to be done in the future and feedback will be incorporated into the game. The game is slated to release in 2020.

Table Top Classics are making their home on Nintendo Switch. 51 games in total with multiplayer options including some with local and online. Club House Games – 51 World Wide Classics releases on June 5.

Ninjala is a battle royale for 8 players. With ninja gum, yoyo’s and hammers and more this game has an interesting array of tools. Free to play and releasing on May 27

Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy was announced in a previous Direct and is releasing today. Star Wars Episode 1: Racer is also getting remade and coming soon to Switch.

Panzer Dragoon: Remake is launching on Nintendo Switch as a timed console exclusive today.

An update on Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Pass. The Isle of Armour (Part 1) and The Crown Tundra (Part 2). Follow up information on Part 1. A dojo is on this island and training here you will reward you with the legendary Pokemon, Kubfu. During your training you will challenge the Towers of Two Fists, you may only choose one of two towers. Which one effects how Kubfu evolves. Your starter Pokemon will receive a Gigantamax form for completing this challenge. Part 1 will be available by the end of June, and Part 2 this Spring. If you purchase the expansion pass before August 31 you receive a set of Champion Leon’s clothes. Starting today Max Raid Battles for the Gigantamax versions of Copperajah and Duraludon in Pokemon Sword, and Garbodor and Charizard in Pokemon Shield will be more common.
