Syberia: The World Before will release on December 10 on PC, with a console release coming in 2022 the game’s co-developer and publisher Microids announced.
This latest entry in the Syberia series sees the story told from two different timelines, the first in 2004, with the series mainstay Kate Walker searching to find her identity after a tragic event. The second is set in 1937 at the dawn of World War 2, with players assuming the role of 17-year-old Dana Roze, who along with many others is worried for their future.
Microids also revealed a Digital Deluxe version of the game, which includes the following:
- The Digital Video Game
- The Game Original Score composed by Inon Zur
- An excerpt of the Original Script
- A Digital Artbook
- Numerous Wallpapers, Avatars and Original Storyboards drawn by Benoît Sokal
Otherwise, those who pre-order will be treated with the digital artbook.
Making the release of Syberia: The World Before even more special is that it’ll be the last time we get to experience a world crafted by the series’ creator Benoît Sokal who sadly passed away in May this year.
Players can get a taste of Syberia: The World Before with the prologue available to play on Steam now.
