Team17 has announced that it has signed a deal with Melbourne developer Catchweight Studio to publish its upcoming WW1 horror game Conscript when it launches in 2024.
Set in 1916, Conscript tells the story of a lone French soldier as he explores the trenches of Verdun searching for his missing brother. It’s heavily inspired by old-school survival horror games such as Resident Eviland will require players to scavenge for supplies, manage their inventory and solve puzzles if they are to survive. A demo is available now for those who want to take Conscript for a spin to get a taste of the action.
Conscript is the work of one man, Jordan Mochi, who has spent the best part of six years bringing the game to life. We spoke to Mochi in 2021 about Catchweight Studio and Conscript for our Made In Australia segment.
