With a short and sweet little announcement, the main man Geoff Keighley has sent out a little social post to remind us all that the big awards show for gaming in 2023 will be taking place on December 7.

Considering the positively stellar year of gaming that is 2023, it’s sure to be a divisive event.
Honestly, just have a think about some of the unbelievable AAA and Indie games that have been delivered this year, with some serious stunners:
- The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Cocoon
- Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty
- Lies Of P
- Mortal Kombat 1
- Starfield
- Sea Of Stars
- Armored Core VI: Fires Of Rubicon
- Dredge
And that is only a small list! If I was grabbing every title that has received serious acclaim for the year, I might be here for hours.
For all the strong feelings across games, platforms and the entities that make it all possible – one thing is without question: the landscape of interactive media has absolutely been a verdant one for our current year. I genuinely can’t wait to see what gets props when the award season rolls around.
Do you have a particular blockbuster title that you hope to see get some justified recognition? List it in the comments or on our social media.
