The Cub Is A Platformer Inspired By Sega Classics Set In The Golf Club: Wasteland Universe

Back to the wasteland

During this week’s Future Games Show, Demagog Studio and Untold Tales announced The Cub, a platformer inspired by challenging Sega classics such Aladdin and The Jungle Book set inside the world of the studio’s previous game Golf Club: Wasteland.

The Cub will see players assume the role of one of Earth’s survivors after the super-rich made a run for it to Mars. This story-driven platformer will give players a different look at the neon-lit post-apocalyptic satirical world of Golf Club: Wasteland. Like Golf Club: Wasteland, The Cub will feature a soundtrack with stories from Mars and chill tunes composed to accompany your journey.

Demagog Studio creative director Igor Simic had this to say on The Cub’s announcement:

“The game is set in the same world as Golf Club: Wasteland, but this isn’t a copy-paste sequel. We’re going back to the world we created using it to tell new stories from the perspective of a survivor on Earth. We’ve also written it in such a way that the story in The Cub intersects with the one in Golf Club: Wasteland and then continues on for those who wanted to know the fate of the golfer and the child.”

While there’s no release information just yet, The Cub will hit PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo consoles as well as PC.
