The New Zealand-Made ATONE: Heart Of The Elder Tree Launches In Jaunary

Head to Midgard to beat the Aussie summer heat

New Zealand developer Wildboy Studios and Untold Tales have announced that ATONE: Heart of the Elder Tree will launch on PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on January 27/28 (PC), 2023.

ATONE: Heart of the Elder Tree is a story-driven, rhythm combat RPG inspired by Norse mythology with hand-drawn art that sees Estra, a young warrior explore a haunting take on Midgard and make decisions that will impact her journey as she endeavours to uncover the truth behind her father’s death.

With combat inspired by games such as Guitar Hero and Dance Dance Revolution, and a synth-heavy soundtrack composed by Luminist, an Australian electronic artist, music is a core element of ATONE’s experience. However, if rhythm combat isn’t your jam it can be disabled, allowing players to focus on the game’s narrative.

For those who want to get a taste of ATONE before January, there’s a demo currently available on Steam.
