The Day Before Will Let Players Seek In-Game Jobs, Get Jacked At The Gym And Sweat It Out In The Sauna

More than a survival game

The Day Before developer Fntastic has revealed that players will be able to seek in-game jobs, as well as participate in fitness, social and relaxation activities at Woodberry Survival Colony – the game’s central hub.

The information was revealed during our recent exclusive interview with Fntastic founders Eduard and Aisen Gotovtsev where the duo opened up about The Day Before gameplay. Responding to a question about how the Woodberry Survival Colony works, Fntastic gave the following answer:

“An exciting yet undisclosed feature we’re introducing is the opportunity for players to seek employment within Woodberry. These in-game jobs range across various professions – from manual labor as a loader to showcasing artistic talent as a musician. These jobs will add another layer of realism and immersion to the game.”

How this will work and what benefits it will provide is still unknown (one would assume currency at least), but it’s certainly an interesting feature that could be a lot of fun for those who get into simulation games.

The studio expanded on the answer by saying they’ve “introduced immersive relaxation elements to enrich the player experience.” As we’ve seen previously, The Day Before will see players enjoy a bit of P&Q in the sauna and spa, where they can increase their character’s stamina. But according to Fntastic, players can also “hang out in the bar for casual conversations or hit the gym to work on their in-game fitness.”

Fntastic appears to have grand ambitions for The Day Before, here’s hoping that all of these features come together.
