HBO has announced that actor Kaitlyn Dever will portray Abby Anderson in season two of The Last Of Us.
Joining Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie, Dever will take on the formidable task of bringing The Last of Us II‘s Abby to the small screen. Acting as one of the game’s two protagonists and an antagonist depending on your point of view, Abby is a layered character that had the entire fandom talking upon the sequel’s release. With roles in films such as No One Will Save You and series like Dopesick, Dever certainly has the chops to take on the character, though she somewhat lacks the physicality.
We're thrilled that Kaitlyn Dever is joining @TheLastOfUsHBO Season 2 as Abby!
We can't wait to see her journey unfold on TV. 💪 https://t.co/BZRimbXww6

The debut season was a commercial and critical success, so it’s no surprise that the series is coming back for round two, but there are plenty of massive twists and turns to come, some that may divide fans. Our very own James Wood has an inkling that the series isn’t ready for Abby Anderson, but, with this casting, we’ll get to find out one way or the other.
