The Last Of Us TV Show’s First Official Trailer Is Here And It Looks Great

Looking very good

HBO has stopped the teasing and dropped the first full trailer for its upcoming adaptation of The Last of Us, which will premiere on January 16 in Australia on Binge.

The two-and-a-half-minute trailer gives us a tasty glimpse at the show’s story, characters, monsters, and moments from the game and the DLC Left Behind that fans will recognise. The trailer also reveals that Ashley Johnson (the actress that plays Ellie in the video games) will star as Ellie’s mum in the show, and we also get a quick look at Troy Baker (video game Joel) in the trailer.

It looks like HBO is banking big on The Last of Us TV show, with the 10-episode first season rumoured to cost US$10 million per episode and slotting into a primetime release window. Fingers crossed that it pays off.
