Fans of The Legend of Zelda have been eagerly awaiting news regarding the sequel to the 2017 critically acclaimed game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild ever since it was announced that the game would be delayed into next year. Thankfully, our collective uncle and Nintendo deemed us worthy of learning the revised release date overnight through the September 2022 Nintendo Direct.

Slated to release exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on May 12, 2023, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel to Breath of the Wild that so many people (myself included) have been yearning for.
Not too much is shown but we did get to see some new gameplay snippets, including an elevator that Link appears to use in the trailer, perhaps it could be a new Rune for the sequel?
