Turtle Beach Reveal A Pretty Killer New Way To Play Donkey Kong Bananza

Perfect for mighty ape hands

Turtle Beach is clearly in tune with what the hands of all Switch 2 owners are doing right now, and that is literally tearing it up in Donkey Kong Bananza.

So what better time to unveil a hot new pro controller showing off the titular ape, as well as his red-capped pal running rampant in some jungle hijinxs:

Just announced today, the new Turtle Beach Rematch Wireless Controller: Donkey Kong edition is the latest flavour to join the Rematch range, alongside the equally gorgeous Super Mario Star and Invincible Mario editions. The rematch range already has some stellar reviews that praise both the exceptionally comfy form factor, but also the obscenely generous battery time – but they also have some great aesthetic additions, such as glow in the dark artwork.

While the DK controller does not glow, it instead offers its own fun artwork twist – with a lenticular design that shifts the artwork depending on the angle you choose, which I have personally never seen on a gaming controller:

The back includes two programmable quick-action buttons, which look sharp in their Kong-tie red – and the unit of course has the expected built-in motion controls that one would use to aim their mighty rock throwing action within the game. Being officially licensed, you’d expect little else.

As someone who doesn’t yet have a next-gen controller for my Switch 2 – and as a rabid, reborn fan of all things Donkey Kong – this personality-driven beast has smashed its way onto my radar in a big way, especially when you consider that the price range for the Rematch series is downright wallet-friendly.

For those wishing to become the king of kong, and are maybe kongsidering a new controller to do so – keep an eye out for when the Rematch: Donkey Kong edition launches on October 12.

Have you had a chance to grab a new kongtroller for your primate punching experience? What do you think of this super slick simian option? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
