Turtle Beach’s New Stealth Series Headsets Are Out Now In Australia

If you’re in the market for a new headset and have been waiting for something affordable that doesn’t sacrifice quality, Turtle Beach might just have you covered. Launching in stores and online today, the latest range of premium Stealth series headsets for Xbox (among other platforms) have a variety of wireless options available for gamers looking to upgrade their audio and voice chat experience. The newest headsets are iterations of Turtle Beach’s best-selling Stealth 700 and 600 range, each unit offering up wireless connectivity with proprietary lag-free technology, varying levels of immersive sound and a discreet, flip-to-mute microphone.

On the more affordable end of the spectrum, we’ve got the Stealth 600 Gen 2 USB headset. This wireless beauty, along with the other units launching today, has been designed with Xbox in mind and sports a sick green stripe to complement the simple black finish but you can also nab it in white if you’d prefer. Clocking in at $169.95 AUD, the headset offers up the same seamless wireless functionality of the other new units without sending you broke right before the holiday season. Given the durability of Turtle Beach’s other designs in the range, this one might be the ideal fit for kids getting into games over Christmas. The Gen 2 USB allows for up to 24 hours of battery use too!

Up next is the Stealth 600 Gen 2 MAX, a fantastic unit that we’ve been using for about a month now and will be reviewing shortly. This mid-range priced unit clocks in at $219.95 AUD and packs some fantastic usability and sound quality for its price. On top of the lag-free wireless communication and impressive 48+ hour battery life, the Gen 2 MAX  boasts sound profile options that utilise the headset’s 50mm speakers. While designed for Xbox, these units can also be used across all your home consoles and PC thanks to the easily adaptable USB dongle that makes the value proposition even more impressive. You can pick one up in Black, a sleek Midnight Red or if you’re so inclined, Artic Camo.

Lastly, the crowning jewel of the new series, the Stealth 700 Gen 2 MAX is a beast of a headset, coming in at $319.95 AUD and packing features to match. With a simple switch toggle, players can use this unit on all current gaming consoles and PC, as well as Bluetooth connectivity for smartphones and other devices, making it the ultimate headset for gaming and everyday use. Linking the 700 Gen 2 MAX to your phone also allows you to use the companion mobile app to control audio presets and more.

Comfort isn’t a concern here either, as the 40+ hours of battery life you can get out of the unit will be complemented by Turtle Beach’s Aerofit gel-infused cooling memory foam inside the ear cushions. 50mm Nanoclear speakers push sound quality to new heights too, nicely pairing with the flip-to-mute microphone. You can pick one up in Black or a very clean-looking Cobalt Blue with rose-gold trim.

Juergen Stark, CEO and Chairman of Turtle Beach, has said that the new MAX models have been designed to give customers even more options when looking to buy an industry best-selling headset.“We know many gamers are looking for one headset that works with everything, and that’s the genesis of the MAX models. Our 700 and 600 series wireless products have been steadfast workhorses for the brand since they came out in January 2019. The Turtle Beach Stealth 700 is the second best-selling wireless headset series, second only to our Stealth 600 series, and we anticipate these new upgraded MAX and USB models will continue driving the series’ future success.”

You can check out the full range on the Turtle Beach official page and be sure to let us know in the comments or on social media if you nab one and what you think of it!
