I don’t have a musical bone in my body. But, if I did I would very much like to own this absurdly cool Diablo IV beast from Jackson Guitars.
While it may not be the seven/twelve string acoustic monster that defined the soundtrack of Diablo’s yesteryear, it is still an iconic axe that will happily slam (or serve) the forces of hell if given the chance.
Key features of the Jackson Diablo IV Kelly include:
- Genuine Mahogany body
- Quartersawn Maple neck through design
- Hand shaped custom heel contour
- Ebony fingerboard with “IV” and “Rune” custom inlays
- Stainless Steel Frets
- Hand painted “Lilithgram” Demon Blood Drip finish
- Luminlay glow-in-the-dark side markers
- Dual Active EMG Humbucker Pickups
- G&G Custom Diablo Case included
The entire thing is dripping with hellish attitude, and while I may be musically useless – I do listen to a great many bands that would look right at home making this thing weep:
Forged within the darkest depths of Sanctuary and skillfully crafted by Master Builder Pasquale Campolattano, the Jackson Custom Shop @Diablo IV Special Edition Kelly embodies the chaos and fury of the underworld. Crazy game tie-ins are nothing new, but there is something oddly charming about fun and fantastic collaborations that lead to rad real-world opportunities to rep your favourite game in new and exciting ways.
Pasquale Campolattano, with the super cool title of Master Builder at Jackson Guitars, clearly understood the brief:
We immersed ourselves in the game’s lore and breathtaking artwork, and it became clear that Lilith and the symbolic imagery had to take centre stage. The dark, bold design exudes pure metal and pays homage to the game’s essence. Incorporating the “IV” and “Rune” symbols as fretboard inlays added an extra touch of menace, resulting in a commanding guitar for any stage.
I am sad to say that I may never see one of these things in real life, but believe me – if I ever had the chance, I’d absolutely jump at the chance to drool at such an epic weapon of musical mayhem. Check it out on the Jackson Guitars website.
It’s just a shame that it doesn’t come with a redemption code to wield it in Diablo IV – imagine your barbarian caving in skulls with this nightmare machine.
