WrestleQuest Has Been Hit With A Short Delay Just Before The Opening Bell Sounded

It’s come crashing down and it hurts inside

Publisher Skybound Games and developer Mega Cat Studios have announced that the wrestling-based RPG WrestleQuest has been delayed and will now release on August 22.

While game delays are nothing new, a game getting pushed back on the day it’s meant to launch is rare. Taking to X (Twitter) with a statement, Mega Cat Studios explain that an error was discovered at the last possible minute that could’ve negatively impacted certain players, necessitating the delay. According to the statement, on one platform, it was “possible for players to lose their save game progress when playing WrestleQuest on multiple different devices”

Saying that it wouldn’t be fair to “bodyslam our fans like that,” the studio decided to push the game back by two weeks in order to iron out that particular kink.

WrestleQuest will now release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch, PC and mobile (via Netflix) on August 22.
