WWE 2K25 Is Headed To The Switch 2 Later This Month

This is my portability

2K has announced that WWE 2K25 will release on Switch 2 on July 23.

Having been released on all other platforms in March of this year, it seemed as likely as someone kicking out of the first Cross Rhodes that the most recent WWE 2K title would be hitting the Switch 2 before long. The Switch 2 version of WWE 2K25 won’t be compromised or make any concessions as it goes handheld, with all game modes, match types, and features available in the game making the jump to this new release.

Alongside a Showcase mode that focuses on the Bloodline and an insanely packed roster, 2K25 also introduces the Bloodline Rules match type that injects all of the melodrama you would expect from such a bout. The contentious new mode, The Island, will vary in mileage from player to player, as it aims to mimic similar modes found within NBA 2K, where a player creates a wrestler and works through a storyline to build their grappler into the next champion. Or you can pony up some cash and fast-track your way there.

The game is available to pre-order now, with the following versions up for grabs:

  • WWE 2K25 Standard Edition | AUD$109.95
    • Pre-order Bonus Offer: Wyatt Sicks Pack
  • WWE 2K25 Deadman Edition | AUD$159.95
    • Includes the Standard Edition and content from the Wyatt Sicks Pack
    • This edition comes with the Deadman Edition Bonus Pack and Season Pass
  • WWE 2K25 The Bloodline Edition | AUD$199.95
    • Includes the Standard Edition and content from the Deadman Edition
    • This edition comes with the Ringside Pass (Season Pass plus Superstar Mega-Boost), The Rock Nation of Domination Pack, The Bloodline Edition Bonus Pack, and WrestleMania 41 Pack

Outside of the aforementioned Island game mode, we were pretty high on this year’s WWE game, slapping an 8.5 on our review, saying, “The additions and improvements made in WWE 2K25 more than justify the series’ annual cadence, but new mode The Island shows us a potentially grim future of monetisation and pay-to-win practices.”

Is the temptation of taking WWE 2K25 on the go enough for you to get around the Switch 2 version? Let us know in the comments or on our social media.
