I’m always searching for cool and neat-looking adventure games, and Kickstarter has always been a fruitful hunting ground. While perusing the current offerings, Zid Journey caught my eye for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it’s an adventure game that features dinosaurs, and more dinosaur games are always a good thing. The second reason is that I’ve actually had the game’s predecessor on my Steam Wishlist, Zniw Adventure, for a while now, so maybe it’s time to see what Zid is all about.
Zid Journey is the work of the Polish team Azure Mountain, and the studio is chasing $12,430 on Kickstarter to help fund the project, a goal which they have almost doubled so far, with $23,121 currently pledged, and with 17 days remaining, the team is hoping to activate as many stretch goals as possible.
Featuring gorgeous hand-drawn cartoon visuals, frame-by-frame animation, and plenty of cute dinosaurs, Zid Journey is the story of a young dinosaur who discovers an odd and abandoned egg, which turns out to be for a carnivore. Knowing that it won’t survive on its own, Zid endeavours to return the egg to its family while also searching for his own lost family.
If all of this sounds like something you’d be keen to check out further, you can download the game’s demo on Steam now.
