The bushfires that have been raging across Australia are devastating. Destroying homes and land, taking the lives of people and animals alike, this disaster has affected a huge portion of Australians in some shape or form. Through these trying times, one positive to arise has been the incredible outpour of support both nationally and internationally. Celebrities, communities, businesses and individuals have been digging deep to give what they can to help those in need.
Infinity Ward, the developer behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, have recently announced that they will be donating 100% of the NET sales from their new DLC pack Outback (now re-named Outback Relief) to the Australian bushfire relief efforts. This fund-raising effort will be active across all platforms from now until January 31st, with all Outback Relief packs bought before the announcement also being included.
The Outback Relief pack includes the Bushranger operator skin, a koala-shaped charm, a new finishing move, a calling card and a tier skip among other bonuses. The pack is worth 1800 CoD Points, which equates to around $20 AUD. With the popularity of the franchise it’s safe to assume that this will raise a substantial amount of much needed funds.
Everyone at WellPlayed wishes the best for anyone affected by the bushfires and hopes that everyone remains safe. If you are looking to donate towards the relief effort, please visit the Victorian CFA website and the NSW RFS website.
