AFL Evolution 2 Has Been Delayed To 2020

This one’s going to extra time

After months of speculation and nonexistent communication from Wicked Witch, Tru Blu Entertainment and the AFL regarding the release date for the highly anticipated AFL Evolution 2, the game’s Facebook page has today confirmed that game will no longer be releasing in 2019. Instead the game will now launch during the start of the 2020 AFL season.

A brief statement reveals that extra time needed for technical fine-tuning and fan feedback are the reasons for the game’s further delay. It was also confirmed that the game will launch with the 2020 season content (players etc).

You can view the official statement below:

We first posted about the game’s potential delay just over a week ago, with an update to the game’s EB Games listing showing a TBC 2020 release date.

While we’re bummed to read about another delay, we just hope that when it does finally release it’ll be worth the wait.

AFL Evolution 2 will now release in 2020 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
