Latest AFL 23 Trailer Confirms Pro Team Is The Game’s Ultimate Team Mode

Do you have what it takes to be a pro?

Recently we reported that AFL 23‘s Ultimate Team-esque mode was going to be called Star Team, after former footballer and now content creator Mitch Robinson published a video that showed off the game’s menu.

However, yesterday the AFL and Big Ant Studios dropped the game’s launch trailer, which confirmed that the mode will actually be named Pro Team. The trailer showed off a handful of player cards, including Toby Nankervis, Tristan Xerri, Tom Hickey, Jesse Hogan, Bailey Smith, Kyle Langford, Alex Pearce, Tom Jonas and Steven May. We also got a glimpse at Alastair Clarkson giving a quarter-time break address, Chris Scott lifting the premiership cup, well-known celebrations and a club singing the song after a win – it all looks visually impressive. You can check out the trailer below.

Originally, Pro Team was not going to be in the game when it was set to launch on April 13, however the delay to May 4 has given the Melbourne-based developer extra time to ensure the mode will be ready for release.

AFL 23 will release on May 4 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC.
