AFL Evolution 2 Sneakily Launches A Month Early On The Nintendo eShop

Still wouldn’t recommend handballing your Switch

Developer Wicked Witch recently gifted footy fans that are suffering withdrawals from the great game AFL Evolution 2 (which we gave a 6.5). Though it’s far from perfect, Zach Jackson said in our review that it’s “the best modern take on AFL yet”, so it’s more than likely that it will tide you over until sees some sort of normality again.

The game is out now on PS4 and Xbox One, but those who want to take their Australian Rules on the go had to wait, as the Switch version is slated for release on May 14.

This is still true for the physical version, but out of nowhere, the digital release is available on the Nintendo eShop right now, almost a full month earlier than expected. The game will set you back $79.95 and you’ll need at least 13GB of storage free on your console.

Have you played AFL Evolution 2 yet? Will you be getting it on the Switch? Let us know.
