A Call Of Duty: Vanguard Alpha Is Coming To All PS5/PS4 Players This Week

A quick look at the new mode

Activision and Sledgehammer Games have announced a Call of Duty: Vanguard multiplayer Alpha that will be running this weekend for all PS5 and PS4 players. The Alpha will be free to all PS5/PS4 users and will run from August 28 at 3AM AEST to August 30 at 3AM AEST.

The Alpha will give PlayStation players a chance to test out the new Champion Hill mode that’s debuting in Vanguard. Labelled as a multi-arena survival tournament, Champion Hill will see teams of either two or three competing in round-robin tournaments against seven other squads to crown a champion.

Similar to Apex Legends‘ Arena Mode, in Champion Hill, you’ll start with a basic loadout but you’ll collect cash during rounds to purchase weapons and gear to give you a leg up. Champion Hill matches will take place on one large map that’s split up into four distinct areas; Airstrip, Trainyard, Market, and Courtyard.

PlayStation owners will be able to preload the Alpha starting at 8PM AEST today on both PS5 and PS4. You can find all of the Alpha details on the PlayStation Blog.

Call of Duty: Vanguard release on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC on November 5.
