Overwatch 2 is currently smashing through it’s third season of content, and it is the first seasonal content patch to not include a new Overwatch hero. This is in tune with how the development team is approaching roster updates, and making sure that any new character is given room to breathe.
But Season Four will see a new character join the roster, and so far the only detail we had was that they are confirmed to fit in the Support role – that has now changed, as Overwatch Executive Producer Jared Neuss has casually let slip that the next two characters are ‘cute’:

While playing some casual games, Jared clarified that the next two characters are indeed supports (something known for a little while) and that (he would say) they are both “cute”.
This of course means that people are now reading into this snippet as to whether his emphasis on personal opinion bears any real input on the actual cuteness that is at stake. He does clarify, saying that he would “feel good” saying that they are Mercy cute, referring to the blonde haired medic of the Overwatch team.
Only time will tell, but speculation is at an all time high as people go digging for further clues.
