The Las Vegas Sphere Puts On A Show For Mortal Kombat 1’s Release

Nothing to fear but sphere itself

People navigating the city of sin got to see a pretty stellar display on their resident dystopian orb thingo – the actual name being “The Sphere” at The Venetian Resort, Las Vegas.

You see, as part of the release festivities for Mortal Kombat 1 the Sphere did a a gigantic character showcase –resplendent in brilliant colours and neat animations. It must have been pretty kick arse to see in person, truth be told.

And from another killer angle – although sadly I can’t imagine that music was captured live:

It’s a pretty baller (heh) way to celebrate a game release – and the people of Nevada can be thankful that they only got character spotlights. Imagine a giant spherical fatality happening on that thing – eesh.

Now I wonder if it has a HDMI port…

If you are curious about the Las Vegas Sphere, check out it’s website at thespherevegas.com

Do you live in Las Vegas? Can you tell me if it played the banger Mortal Kombat theme song? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
