Bandai Namco just got off of disappointing pretty much everyone when their lackluster announcement regarding the Dragon Ball Z IP prety much turned out to be nothing of real note, except for maybe the DBZ Card game coming to the Switch. So it would make sense if an announcement were made to make up for it, and boy was there an announcement.
Seemingly out of nowhere, Bandai Namco just released the following statement via their social media pages:
In 2019, the project of a New Game focusing on the World of #DragonBallZ begins!
And more news coming to #DRAGONBALLFighterZ ! The Warrior from Universe 11 is joining the fight!
More information to be revealed at the DRAGON BALL FighterZ World Tour Finals in January 26th ~ 27th!
So there you go. A new Dragon Ball Z game code named ProjectZ is an action RPG that is yet to have much information released about it is on the horizon. The wording of it, stating that the project “begins” this year make it seem like it’s not coming this year, but an announcement with a release date this year would not be surprising.
