PlayStation has announced that a State of Play livestream will take place tomorrow, September 24, at 7am AEST.
Announced on the PlayStation Blog, this State of Play is set to run for roughly 35 minutes, with “new looks at anticipated third-party and indie titles, plus updates from some of the teams at PlayStation Studios.” Excitingly, the blog post confirms that one first-party game will be making an appearance, and it’s one that I’ve been eagerly awaiting to see more from. Housemarque’s Saros, the next game following the excellent Returnal, will be getting an “extended look” during this State of Play.
Revealed during the February State of Play earlier this year, Saros has largely been steeped in mystery, save for the fact that actor Rahul Kohli will be taking centre stage as the game’s protagonist. The brief reveal trailer was reminiscent of Returnal in a few key ways, particularly the energy projectiles that float around the imposing enemy that rises from the ocean. Whether it’s another roguelike bullet hell is unknown, but regardless, I’ll be tuning in tomorrow to get a good look at Saros.
