Several murmurings throughout the gaming landscape suggested that something speedy and studded may be approaching, with XboxEra’s Shpeshal_Nick initially discussing such a partnership to be occurring in line with a posted job listing that confirmed that Visual Concepts was working on “an open-world driving game with a major license”.
Now, the internet has delivered a range of flashy visuals that display the title is named LEGO 2K Drive, and is every bit as blocky and bold as you’d expect:
The idea of a Mario Kart-esque racing experience that allows some kind of brick-based customisation is a fun one. It even begs to question if the wholesale creation of vehicles could potentially be a feature – the world of Lego is quite literally limited only by ones imagination.
And personal finances, I suppose.
