It seems as though we are in a video game demo renaissance. Lately we have been treated to a Final Fantasy VII Remake demo that gave us 30-45 minutes snippet of the much anticipated title, as well as a sneaky demo for the fun looking party game Moving Out that hit the PlayStation Store today (March 17).
Well, the demo train isn’t slowing down one bit. Capcom has announced that the highly anticipated Resident Evil 3 will be getting its very own demo on PS4, Xbox One and Steam on March 19. That’s right, you’ll be able to get a taste of RE3 this Thursday.
The demo will see you play as Jill Valentine, working alongside Carlos Oliveira to evacuate civilians from Raccoon City. Of course, it won’t be as simple as helping old ladies who have lost their walking frames, you will need to deal with zombies and, of course, the big man himself, Nemesis.
As an added challenge, Capcom has hidden 20 Mr Charlie statues across the demo area for players to find and destroy, with a total count shown once you complete the demo.
Speaking of finishing, Capcom has confirmed that upon completion players will be rewarded with a brand new cinematic trailer for their efforts.
Atop this demo, Capcom will also be running an open beta for Resident Evil Resistance, the asymmetrical multiplayer offering attached to RE3. This beta will allow you to play as Daniel Fabron, one of the four Masterminds that will be available at launch, and four of the six Survivors.
This beta will be available on PS4, Xbox One and Steam from March 27 until the game releases on April 3.
Resident Evil 3 will launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC on April 3, 2020.
Are you keen for Resident Evil 3? Will you be getting around the demo? Let us know.
