AFL Evolution 2 Is Releasing A Little Earlier, With A Minor Catch

The AFL has shut up shop until May 31 at the earliest and AFL fans nationwide are itching for footy content in whatever form they can get it.

Some fans have been pleading for AFL Evolution 2 to shift its recently announced April 23 release date forward, and today Tru Blu Entertainment and Wicked Witch heed the call via the AFL Evolution Facebook page.

AFL Evolution 2 will now release a week earlier than its previously slated April 23 release date, with plans for release on April 16 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. There is small catch however, with physical copies of the game only available through online retail stores initially. There was no given time frame for when physical copies will be on store shelves, however with the COVID-19 pandemic currently ramping up significantly I doubt we will see them anytime soon. The game will also release digitally on PlayStation and Xbox storefronts.

The recently announced Nintendo Switch version of the game was also given a release date in this post, with plans to release physically via online retailers and digitally via the Nintendo eShop on May 14.

EB Games, JB Hi-Fi, The Gamesmen and the AFL Evolution 2 website are the only listed places where you can get physical copies of the game, so make sure to check these retailers in order to snag a copy.
