Remedy Entertainment has announced that Alan Wake 2 will release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 17.
During this morning’s PlayStation Showcase, we got a two-minute gameplay trailer for the upcoming action-thriller sequel, Alan Wake 2. Not only did the short trailer show off some unsettling enemies and tense moments, but it also confirmed that the game will feature two playable protagonists. Alongside the titular writer, players will also control (wink wink, nudge nudge) a new character by the name of Saga Anderson.
Both Saga and Mr Wake (who looks a lot like Mr Wick) will be drawn into a mysterious case of ritualistic murders taking place in a small country town, bringing Alan back into the nightmare that he escaped from in the original game. More about the plot and the game’s direction can be found over on the PlayStation Blog, but this trailer is enough to have me adding the game to my wishlist.
