Stellar Blade developer SHIFT UP has taken to social media to drop a fun little snippet regarding the games worldwide release – specifically that the title will be hitting shelves and digital storefronts with zero modifications or censorship.
This means that every player will be having the same experience, with no toning down of language, gore – or “physical attributes” of any kind.
「Stellar Blade」 offers the same uncensored version in all countries, including the Japanese version.

It could come across as a bit of non-news, given that nothing had really raised flags within the content shown so far as to suggest that censorship was even on the table – it’s mostly just a heads up. Considering the history of game censorship within Australia, it may come as a relief to some that there will be no weeping koalas at any point in this game.
There is only a handful of days left until the full release of Stellar Blade, but for anyone still not familiar with the slashy goodness on offer, there is a pretty stellar (heh) demo available right now that our own James Wood has described could well place the game to be “one of the best action titles of the year” – so you can absolutely try before you buy.
Stellar Blade releases for the PlayStation 5 on April 26.
Are you happy to see the game will be untouched from any regulatory forces? Are you grabbing it on day one? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
