Remedy Entertainment has announced that the New Game Plus mode for Alan Wake II will be available across all platforms from December 12 (for us Aussies).
Briefly mentioned during Sam Lake’s acceptance speech for Best Game Direction during The Game Awards, the mode will let players replay the game while retaining all of the weapons, Charms and character upgrades they earned during their first playthrough. It was later detailed on the game’s website that the mode is titled The Final Draft, and will also bring with it a new Nightmare difficulty, new manuscript pages to find and, most excitingly, a new ending to discover.
New Game Plus update for #AlanWake2 will be released on next Monday!

In our review, we said that Alan Wake II is “A surreal, mind-bending story told through excellent production and convincing performances, with two parallel protagonists offering completely different and engaging portions of gameplay. After a 13-year wait, Alan Wake has reemerged as one of the most unique survival horror experiences you can find in the dark.” We gave the game a 9.5.
Have you played Alan Wake II yet? No? Well don’t bother with comments here or on our social media, go play it.
