Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, the upcoming third entry and prequel in the A Plague Tale series from developer Asobo Studio and publisher Focus Entertainment, could launch as soon as August 27 if a listing on Amazon Australia is to be believed.
While online store listings should always be taken with a heavy dose of scepticism, there is some evidence that gives the listing some credence. Firstly, in a recent devblog, Asobo Studio wrote that “the release is almost here,” implying that players will have the game in their hands soon.
Secondly, Asobo Studio and Focus Entertainment have not been afraid to show up during Summer Games Fest, with Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy revealed during last year’s Summer Games Fest Xbox Showcase. So it’s not out of the question that we could get a release date in a couple weeks.
Resonance is set 15 years before the events of A Plague Tale: Requiem and sees Sophia, a plunderer on the run and determined to uncover the truth about her past. Resonance mixes combat, myth and fate to tell an original story set in the A Plague Tale universe.
