Venture to the Vile, the atmospheric metroidvania from Canadian developer Cut to Bits will launch on PC via Steam on May 7 the studio has announced.
Featuring 2.5D visuals and set in the town of Rainybrook where a mysterious and dark entity known as the ‘Vile’ has taken over, Venture to the Vile will task players with solving puzzles, acquiring abilities and finding hidden secrets as they endeavour to save their friend Ella before it’s too late.
A demo is available on Steam if anyone would like to check it out before May 7.
Venture to the Vile is the first game from Cut to Bits, a studio made up of former developers who have worked on games such as Assassin’s Creed, Rise of the Tomb Raider, GTA V, and Bioshock. It’s a game I’ve had on my radar since its announcement, so I am keen to finally go hands-on with the full game in a couple of months.
