Canadian developer Artifice Studio has announced that its authentic Arthurian strategy RPG Legends of the Round Table will release on PC on April 1 (March 31 global time).
In this take on King Arthur, players will lead the Knights of the Round Table on adventures based on real medieval stories. Manage Knights, including Sir Lancelot and Sir Percival, and decide who deserves a seat at the table, send Knights on quests based on their traits, and monitor their journey as they experience conflict, success, and death.
The game features a gorgeous and colourful art style that is inspired by illuminated manuscripts and brought to life using the same techniques, as well as a soundtrack including 13th-century compositions and poetry played on instruments from the same time period.
“With Legends of the Round Table”, we wanted to move away from the typical RPG power fantasy and instead focus on the medieval ideals of knights driven by honour and moral duty,” says Yan Pepin, Director at Artifice Studio. “Our team in Quebec has poured years into crafting a turn-based experience where every aspect of the adventures are deeply rooted in the chivalric code of honour that guided these epics. We are incredibly excited to finally witness players creating their own take on the Arthurian Legends.”
If all of this piques your interest, there is a demo available on Steam for players check out now.
