Bethesda Australia Releases Limited Edition Elder Scrolls Online Hot Sauce

Hotter than the gates of Oblivion

Today’s hottest take award goes to Bethesda Australia, who have partnered with award-winning spice artisans, Melbourne Hot Sauce, to craft a limited edition Elder Scrolls Online-themed hot sauce. The aptly-titled condiment, Hot Sauce of Oblivion, is here to promote the release of the newest ESO expansion, Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood, part of the year-long Gates of Oblivion theme in the game.

Anyone lucky enough to be living Sydney-side will be able to try the sauce for themselves, smothered all over the ‘Wings of Oblivion’ down at Wings & Tins in either Darlinghurst or Dee Why starting June 8. For those in other areas the only way to get in on this hot action will be to attempt to win a bottle from various Australian outlets doing local giveaways, with details available on Bethesda ANZ’s social channels (it may even pay to keep your eyes peeled here at WellPlayed!).

The sauce, a Daedric-inspired concoction, features Carolina Reapers, Trinidad Scorpions and Habanero chillis accompanied by hints of mango and cider, coming in at a very spicy 600,000 Scoville units. It’s definitely not going to be one for the faint-hearted.

Uncover the schemes of the Daedric Prince Mehrunes Dagon 800 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls IV in Gates of Oblivion, a new year-long adventure for The Elder Scrolls Online. The upcoming Blackwood Chapter June 1 for PC/Mac and June 8 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
