Big Ant’s AFL Game Is Titled AFL 23 And Is Coming To All Consoles And PC

You just feel like something exciting is about to happen

UPDATE: Big Ant CEO Ross Symons has taken to Twitter to confirm that AFL 23 will indeed support the Xbox Series X|S consoles, however the Nintendo Switch listing is a mistake, with Symons stating that the Switch couldn’t deliver a “reasonable user experience.”

ORIGINAL STORY BELOW

With the AFL pre-season in full swing and the season proper set to kick off on March 16 with the traditional opener of Carlton vs Richmond (carn the Baggers!), it makes sense that we’ll start to hear more about Big Ant’s upcoming AFL game.

Fans have been clamouring for information about the title, and it appears that we may not have to wait much longer with the game being rated by the Australian Classification board, seemingly confirming the game’s title – AFL 23. We also have confirmation of what platforms AFL 23 will be hitting, with PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC all listed.

Oddly, Xbox Series X|S was not listed, which begs the question as to whether the PS5 version will see added benefits over the PS4 version. It’s unlikely as Xbox Series X|S versions often have their own classification listing (from what I can see). Worst case, Xbox Series X|S will be able to play the Xbox One version.
