Cell Saga Confirmed for Upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Way to “Cell” me on a game

Gamescom 2019 is happening right now which means the next wave of big game announcements is here to whet our appetites leading into the next big release quarter. Bandai Namco have decided to grant us a wish from the mighty dragon balls by dropping a trailer showing off the Cell Saga that will be a playable story arc in the upcoming Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

The trailer focuses heavily on father-son duo Goku and Gohan, and their journey together from going up against Raditz, facing Frieza on Planet Namek, training together in the hyperbolic time chamber, all the way up to the forever emotional Father-Son Kamehameha against Super Perfect Cell.

Previously it was only confirmed that the Saiyan and Frieza Saga were to be playable, but with the addition of the Cell Saga (which includes the arrival of the Androids) it wouldn’t be out of the question for them to include the Majin Buu Saga as well, but only time will tell.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is set to release early 2020 on PS4, Xbox One and PC
